Helen Glass Kidd

Helen Glass Kidd, 87, of Siler City passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living, in Candor, NC. Mrs. Kidd was born August 1, 1933, a Chatham County native and the daughter of Marvin E. and Nora Smith Glass. Helen was a member of First Baptist Church, and Rachel Allred Sunday School class. You could find her hanging out at Bojangles's, she was very social. She spent her working years as the owner of a beauty salon. Helen was very athletic, playing basketball at Staley High School where she was voted All County her Senior year, and graduating in 1951. She attended all reunions and kept up with her classmates, she was very loyal to her school. Helen loved flowers, and nothing stopped her from keeping up with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband Jack Kidd of 62 years, brother; Glenn Glass, and sisters; Jewel G. Morris and Nellie June Crutchfield. She is survived by her son; Kenny Kidd and wife Gidget of Asheboro, sister; Shelby Raper of Raleigh, and brother; Hurley Glass and wife, Libby of Siler City, grandchildren; Mary Beth Kidd and Wilson Kidd and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Hickory Mountain Baptist Cemetery, 1094 Mt. Vernon-Hickory Mountain Road, Siler City with Chaplain (MAJ) William H.
