Margaret Foushee Riddle

Margaret Lila Foushee Riddle, 90, of Pittsboro passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Laurels of Chatham, Pittsboro. Mrs. Riddle was born September 15, 1930, a native of Chatham County and the daughter of Tom and Emma Jordan Foushee. Margaret was a loving mother. She was a member and baptized at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church and loved attending any church activities. She spent her time gardening, visiting swap shops, recycling and canning. She was a hard worker, retiring from Carr Mills. In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Leton Riddle, son; Gilbert Riddle, brothers; Raymond and Alfred Foushee, sisters; Kate and Callie, half-brother; Lewis Poe and a daughter in law; Louise Riddle. She is survived by her daughter: Frona Morgan and husband Charles of Lancaster, SC, sons; L.D. Riddle and Rickey M. Riddle both of Pittsboro, grandchildren; Cristy Courtney and husband Rodney, Duane Riddle, Serenia Riddle, Rickey L. Riddle and wife Jaime, Nicholas Riddle and fiancé Meagan Lanphier and Michael Morgan, great grandchildren; Ally Courtney, Brayden Morgan, Kayla Harrington and husband Josh, Karly, Kacey, Katelyn, Mara, Holden, Chase and Landon Riddle, and great-great grandchild; Riley Riddle. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 12:00-1:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. A graveside service will be on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 3:00 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery, 1785 Mt. Gilead Church Rd, Pittsboro with Rev Jim Jones officiating.
