Wilma Louise Ellis Riddle

Wilma Louise Ellis Riddle, age 67, of Pittsboro, NC died Saturday, February 1st, 2020 at UNC Hospice, Pittsboro, NC. Mrs. Riddle was born June 27th, 1952 in Durham, NC; the daughter of James and Wilma Hackney Ellis. She was a loving mother and wife and an easygoing person who enjoyed life, especially her grandchildren. Louise loved spending time with them, working in the garden and with her flowers. For the majority of her life she was employed by Grapevine Cafeteria at UNC. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Riddle is survived by her husband of 50 years, L.D. Riddle Jr. , daughter: Serenia Riddle of Pittsboro, son: Duane Riddle of Pittsboro; sister: Ann Headen of Goldston; brothers: James Michael Ellis of Pittsboro, and Joe Ellis of Pittsboro; granddaughters: Kayla, Karly, Kacey, and Katelyn Riddle and great grandson: Riley Riddle. The family will receive friends Monday, February 3, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. A graveside service will be Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 1785 Mt. Gilead Church Rd, Pittsboro, NC with Reverend Jim Jones officiating.
