William John "Johnny" Welch

William John "Johnny" Welch, 67, of Siler City died Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Siler City Center. Mr. Welch was born March 15, 1948 the son of Carl Levi and Pearl Brewer Welch. Johnny was employed as a construction worker, loved the outdoors and was an avid deer hunter. He was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Carol "Tootsie" Perry, Judy Preslar and Carlene Stevens. He is survived by sister: Nanci Evans and husband, Ron of Siler City; cousin, Sue Perry and husband, Charles of Bear Creek and nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brush Creek Baptist Church, 5345 Airport Road, Bear Creek. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM at the church with Rev Frank Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Brush Creek Baptist Church.
