William Harold Hilliard

William Harold Hilliard, 54, of 16407 NC Hwy 902, Bear Creek died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Central Carolina Hospital, Sanford. Mr. Hilliard was born November 9, 1958 the son of Walter Harold and Doris (Jones) Hilliard. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and employed with Community Cable for 28 years and as a maintenance worker at Southwest Community Recreational Park. He enjoyed farming especially riding tractors and raising cows. He was preceded in death by his father and a niece, Tonya Thompson. He is survived by one son: Joshua Hilliard of Charlotte, NC; his mother, Doris Jones Hilliard; two sisters: Patricia Gaines Wagoner and husband, Danny of Bear Creek, NC, Carolyn Hilliard Patterson and husband, Robert of Siler City, NC; five grandchildren; niece, Heather Culberson; nephews, Jerry Thompson, Dustin Sigmon, Brad, Kenny and Larry Gaines and a special friend, Teresa Ferguson. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 17721 NC Hwy 902, Bear Creek with Rev. Darrell Garner officiating.
