Wanda Angell McDaniel, 83, of Siler City died Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Mrs. McDaniel was born in Lee County on June 22, 1933, the daughter of Jesse J. and Annie Chandler Angell. She was retired from Collins & Aikman as Department Manager and was a member of Moon's Chapel Baptist Church. Wanda enjoyed needle work, quilting, reading, and loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, James Timothy Lowe.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years: William Earl McDaniel, one son: Michael (Mike) Lowe and wife, Jan of Siler City; one daughter: Joan Coley and husband, Lynn of Greensboro; grandchildren, Chris Johnson, Danielle Mehaffey, Melody Toy and Scott Johnson; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Chase Toy, Savannah, Landon, and Harper Mehaffey, Emily, Kennedy and Reagan Johnson.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 3, 2017 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Chatham Memorial Park, 13260 Hwy 64 West, Siler City with Rev. Scott Faw and Rev. Patrick Fuller officiating.
