Vivian Boggs Thrift

Vivian Boggs Thrift, 85, of Siler City, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022.

Mrs. Thrift was born in Chatham County on November 17, 1937, the daughter of Joseph and Caroline Allen Boggs.

Vivian was a member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. She retired after many years as a cook for Hardee's. She enjoyed quilt making, canning, and cooking for her family. Vivian cherished the time she got to spend with her family and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Eugene Thrift, daughter, Wendy Thrift, and brother, Merle Boggs.

She is survived by her son, Trent Thrift of Siler City; daughters, Jane Bray of Bear Creek, Wanda Ellis and husband Luke of Siler City, and Annie Jean Thrift of Siler City; sister, Mary Ruth Bradley of Norwood; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

The family will hold services on Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 1:00-4:00 PM, and Sunday, December 11, 2022, from 2:00-4:00 PM at the home her son, Trent Thrift, 185 Boggs Thrift Trail, Siler City, NC 27344.
