Virginia Juanita Bowman

Virginia Juanita Hodge Bowman, 86, of Siler City, passed away on November 22, 2021 at her home.

Juanita was born in Grayson County, VA on September 16, 1935, the daughter of Leether and Ethel Price Hodge. She spent her working years as a florist, Juanita loved her flowers. She enjoyed spending time cooking a delicious meal in her kitchen. In addition to her parents, Juanita is preceded in death by her husband, Estel Bowman; son, Jimmy D. Bowman; and brothers, Bill and Jessie Hodge.

She is survived by her son, Johnny Bowman of Siler City; daughter, Janie B. Kivett of Staley; sisters, Lucille Walls of Independence, VA, Helen Austin of Mouth of Wilson, NC, and Linda Anderson and husband David of Independence, VA; and sisters in law, Fay and Nancy Hodge both of Independence, VA; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Cemetery, 347 Pleasant Grove Rd., Independence, VA 24348 with Rev. Darrin Brannock officiating.
