Verlie Lowe Brady

Verlie Lowe Brady, 103, of Siler City died Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Siler City Center. Mrs. Brady was born in Chatham County on February 26, 1913 the daughter of Cleatus and Esther (Turner) Lowe. Verlie was a member of Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church and had been employed by Collins & Aikman as an inspector. Verlie was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Brady and her parents. She is survived by one son: Robert L. Brady and wife, Lee of New London, NC; two sisters: Betty Phillips of Siler City, NC and Jean Murray of High Falls, NC; two brothers: June Lowe of Siler City, NC and Bobby Lowe of Bear Creek, grandson, Robert L. Brady, Jr.; six great- grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 21, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Oakwood Cemetery, Siler City with Derrick Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to UNC Hospice, PO Box 1077, Pittsboro, NC 27312. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
