Truman Delano Duncan, Jr.

Truman Delano "Del" Duncan, Jr., 41, of 5246 Silk Hope-Liberty Road, Siler City died Saturday, November 24, 2012 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Mr. Duncan was born in Chatham County on April 23, 1971 the son of the late Truman D. Duncan, Sr and Katherine Faye (Bullins) Staple. He was self-employed in housing construction and paving. He attended Rocky River Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Del was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Willie and Myrtice Cooper Duncan. He is survived by his wife: Ashley (Green) Duncan of the home; children: Christopher Duncan and Cody Duncan of Staley, NC, Taylor Duncan, Tyler Duncan, and Torie Duncan of the home; mother, Katherine Faye (Bullins) Staple (Howard) of Hallandale Beach, Florida; one sister: Crystal D. McMath of Chapel Hill, NC; two nieces and one nephew. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home.
