Tony Lynn Byrd

Tony Lynn Byrd, 56, of Leo Cranford Road, Asheboro died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Byrd was born in Chatham County on January 15, 1959 the son of Carl Thomas and Mary Carol (Linnens) Byrd. Tony was of the Baptist faith and was employed as a truck driver for Bost Distribution. Tony was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife: Sandy (Loftin) Byrd of Asheboro; two daughters: Pamela "BooBoo" Byrd of Siler City, NC, Tonia Byrd of Goldston, NC; mother, Mary Carol Byrd of Siler City; two sisters: Beverly Byrd of Asheboro, NC, Stacy Byrd of Siler City, NC; one brother: Charles Byrd of Siler City, NC; grandchildren, Adaishia and Haley Strickland, Emberlyn, Elizabeth and Payton Byrd; step-children, Caitlin and Jordan Batten and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First Wesleyan Church, 608 N. 3rd Ave., Siler City with Rev. Don Southern, Rev. Jodie Harrison and Rev. Darrin Locklear officiating.
