Tommie Mac "Bud" Locklear, 65, of 806 North Fir Avenue Siler City died Saturday July 7, 2012 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill.
Mr. Locklear was born June 6, 1947, the son of Carson and Addie Mae (Hunt) Locklear. Mr. Locklear was a native of Robeson County. Bud, as he was known by his friends, was an auto mechanic having owned the Chatham Car Care in Siler City, afterwards he became a greeter at Wal-Mart.
He is survived by his wife: Donna Badders Locklear of the home, daughters: Candace Locklear of Siler City, NC, Lisa Locklear of Charlotte, sons: Brian Locklear, Brad Locklear both of Greensboro, grandchildren: Blake, Jacqueline, Starr, Regina, Vanessa, Matthew and Michael, sisters: Mae Deese, Mary Helen West both of Roland, NC, Aldlean Scott of Maxton and brothers: Carson Locklear, Jr. of Maxton, Billy Locklear of Red Springs and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 9, 2012 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at the Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Tuesday July 10, 2012 at the Community Baptist Church, 2575 Hamp Stone Road, Siler City with Rev. Mark Agan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
