Tomas Jaimes Benitez, 71, of Pittsboro passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at his home.
Mr. Benitez was born in Guerrero, Mexico on March 7, 1950 the son of Francisco Jaimes Bartolo and Paula Benitez Alcaraz.
Tomas was a member of the Catholic Church, Mision San Juan Diego of Robbins, NC. He spent his working years as a self-employed landscaper. Tomas is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sara Echeverria De Jaimes; daughter, Blanca Yenil Jaimes Echeverria; sons, Reynaldo Jaimes, Cesar Jaimes, Tomas Edson Jaimes, Francisco Antonio Jaimes and Jesus Eduardo Jaimes Echeverria; daughter in laws, Liliana, Bererdeana, Alfonsina and Ana Maria; sisters, Ma De Jesus Benitez, Catalina Jaimes Benitez and Maria Jaimes Benitez; brother, Alejandro Jaimes Benitez; grandchildren, Allan Edson Jaimes, Brandon Jaimes Echeverria, Mayah Yenil Jaimes Echeverria, Lizbeth Melanie Jaimes, Stephanie Michelle Jaimes, Gustavo Borja Jaimes, Kai Nathaniel Jaimes Echeverria, Fernando Borja Jaimes, Ximena Borja Jaimes and Mateo Eduardo Jaimes.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 7, 2021 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. A Mass will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Mision San Juan Diego, 6963 NC 705 Hwy, Robbins with Father Javier Castrejon Flores.
