Thomas Wayne Smith

Thomas "Tommy" Wayne Smith, 69, of 416 West Tenth Street, Siler City died Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Mr. Smith was born in Randolph County on August 12, 1944 the son of Glenn Thomas and Hazel (Black) Smith. He had retired from Mountaire Farms in maintenance. Tommy enjoyed traveling, spending time at the lake and working in his yard. He especially enjoyed decorating for Christmas and standing beside the street as Santa Claus passing out candy to folks as they drove by, taking in the spectacular light display. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Brenda (Bell) Smith; two sisters: Brenda Albright and Glenda Smith both of Liberty and nephew, Michael Albright of Greensboro. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Chatham Memorial Park, 13260 Hwy 64 West, Siler City with Rev. Jim Whittaker officiating.
