Thelma Langley Gordon, 70, of Hicks Farm Road, Staley, NC died Sunday, June 14, 2015.
Mrs. Gordon was born in Chatham County on March 27, 1945 the daughter of Arnold and Louise Brinkley Langley. She was a graduate of Liberty High School, was a member of Staley Baptist Church and attended Brush Creek Baptist Church. Thelma retired from Collins & Aikman as an inspector. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting baby doll clothes, trips to the beach and reading. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Frank S. Gordon; sons, Kevin Franklin Gordon of Summerfield, SC , Eric C. Gordon and wife, Janel of Rockingham, NC ; daughter, Kathy G. Sanders and husband, Daniel of Burlington, Iowa; grandchildren, Kasey, Karissa, Emily, Hannah, Rick, Melanie and Conor.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC 27344. The funeral will be Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Rodney Otwell officiating. Burial will follow in Brush Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
