Tamela "Tammy" Bright McLaurin, 60, of Siler City went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 30, 2017.
Mrs. McLaurin was born in Alamance County on November 19, 1957 the loving daughter of Donald and Barbara (Justice) Bright. Tammy attended Fellowship Baptist Church, and was employed as office manager for Sammy King Insurance Agency. She was the owner of a cleaning business and was always caring for others. Tammy enjoyed cooking and reading cookbooks. She was a compassionate, loving friend, mom, daughter, nana, aunt, sister and wife who will be remembered for her infectious smile.
Tammy was preceded in death by a brother, David E. Bright.
She is survived by her husband: Jeff McLaurin; two daughters: Courtney Smith and Ginger Cook and husband, Chris; one son: Hunter McLaurin; her parents, Donald and Barbara (Justice) Bright; one sister: Angie Wagoner and husband, Gary; three granddaughters and three grandsons. Tammy (nana) will be greatly missed and loved always.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Fellowship Baptist Church, 120 Fellowship Church Road, Siler City, NC and other times at the home of Courtney Smith, 1535 Bentwood Drive, Graham, NC 27253 and at the home of Sheila McDowell, 43 Copperhead Lane, Siler City, NC 27344. The funeral will follow Sunday at 3:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Golden officiating. A committal service will be in Mount Hermon United Methodist Church, Graham.
