Sylvia Teague Moody

Sylvia Faye Teague Moody, 75, of Sheffield Drive, Siler City died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Moody was born in Guilford County on March 14, 1939, the daughter of Mamie Lee Phillips and James Spurgeon Teague, Sr. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. Sylvia loved watching wrestling, putting puzzles together, and her great grandchildren never left her house without a piece of candy or a dollar bill. She is survived by three daughters: Scarlett M. Blue and husband, Jim of Vass, NC, Sandra M. Smith and Susan M. Tullis both of Bear Creek, NC; one son: Tommy W. Moody of Bear Creek, NC; two sisters: Shirley T. Phillips of Bennett, NC, and Maggie T. Cox of Bear Creek, NC; one brother: Claude Teague of Siler City, NC; eight granddaughters and six great-grandchildren, and her dog Tiny. The family will be at the home of a daughter, Sandra Smith, 18064 NC Hwy 902, Bear Creek, NC. A graveside memorial service will be Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM Saturday at Tyson's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 10891 Siler City-Glendon Road, Bear Creek with Rev. Darrell Garner and Rev. Eddie Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall immediately following the service.
