Swannie Mashburn Snyder, 93, of Siler City died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Siler City Care & Rehabilitation Center. She is now absent from the body and present with the Lord.
Mrs. Snyder was born in Moore County on August 20, 1918, the daughter of John Thomas and Lula (Smith) Mashburn. She attended the First Baptist Church, Siler City and was employed as a seamstress for thirty years at A. J. Schneierson & Sons.
She is survived by four children; Earl Snyder of Greensboro, Tommy Snyder of Snow Camp, Jerry M. Snyder of Charlotte and Linda Marsh of Siler City, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one sister, Lucille Meggs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil T. Snyder, son, Roger Snyder and a daughter, Nadine Brady, and six siblings.
The funeral will be Monday, July 30, 2012 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church, 314 N. 2nd Ave., Siler City with Rev. Tony Capehart officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Siler City.
