Stephen Paul Gaines

Stephen Paul Gaines, 18, of 1347 Vander Oldham Road, Bear Creek died Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Stephen was born in Lee County on August 25, 1993. He was the son of Denise Jordan Gaines and Archie Paul Gaines. Stephen attended Chatham Central High School and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. He loved hunting with his dogs and going fishing. Stephen was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Clarence and Marjorie Gaines. He was employed with Mountain Stone Masonary. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 396 NC Hwy 42, Goldston and other times at the home of his sister, Jennifer and Jeremy Stewart, 3323 Green Valley Drive, Sanford, NC 27330. The service will follow in the church at 12:30 with Rev. Val Chadwick, Rev. David Thomas and Rev. Mike Garner officiating and burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his mother, Denise Jordan Gaines of Bear Creek; his father, Archie Paul Gaines of Kernersville; two sisters, Jennifer G. and Jeremy Stewart of Sanford and nephew, Clay , Terry Gaines of Kernersville; maternal grandparents, Dennis and Doris B. Jordan of Bear Creek; girlfriend, Kristen O'Neal of Goldston and several aunts, uncles and a host of friends. Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church in memory of Stephen P. Gaines.
