Shelby Lewis "Porky" Culberson, age, 67,of 486 Jack Culberson Road, Siler City went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 4, 2012 in Cambridge , MD. He was born March 13, 1945, the son of Colon Gray and Dorothy Mildred (Terry) Culberson.
Porky was a native of Chatham County, an avid horseman and retired from Estes Trucking Company. Porky was a veteran of the US Navy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Faye Culberson, of the home; children; Jimmy Culberson and wife Jennifer of Liberty, Tammy Culberson Nifong and husband, Todd of Winston Salem, Vicki Lynn Dunlap and husband, Tim of Carthage, Robin Tyree Peace and husband, James of Pittsboro, Kelley Tyree of Bennett, and Michael Tyree of Silk Hope; siblings, Ed Culberson and wife, Linda of Siler City and Wanda Culberson Welch and husband, Mike of Carlsbad, NM.; eight precious grandchildren, Colby Shue, Carson Culberson, Codi and Cori Nifong, Christopher Johnston, Rebekah and Shelby Peace and Korbin Louie. A memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 5:00 PM at the family home.
