Sharon Renee Davis Johnston

Sharon Renee Davis Johnston, 51, of Siler City, lost her two-year battle with cancer Sunday, May 26, 2024, at 9:36 pm at the SECU Jim & Betsy Bryan Hospice House in Pittsboro, NC.

A native of Alamance County, Sharon was born February 5, 1973, youngest daughter to Vivian and the late David Manley Davis. She loved art and was especially talented at drawing. She was a member of Moon Chapel Baptist Church and was employed with Piggly Wiggly. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She lived her life in a positive manner, putting others before herself.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 34 years, Clay Garland Johnston; son, Alton Johnston, II; daughter, Lilly Johnston; mother, Vivian Overman; sisters, Diana Davis, and Tracie Davis; mother-in-law, “Mama” Nancy Gordon; father-in-law “Paw-Paw” Tom Gordon; sister-in-law, Angela Johnston; niece, Michelle Campbell; nephew, Steven Wicker; great-niece, Kayla Pennix; great-nephew, Jayden Pennix; and her loving chihuahua, Sandi Jo.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 N. Second Ave., Siler City, NC 27344. The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Patrick Fuller officiating.

Smith & Buckner will be assisting the Johnston family.
