Sandy Moon-Bloxsom, 71, of Silk Hope-Liberty Road, Siler City died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Chatham Hospital, Inc., Siler City.
Sandy was born in Alamance County on November 22, 1942 the daughter of Charles and Ruth (McPherson) Little. She was a member of Sapling Ridge United Methodist Church where she had served as treasurer. She worked for Levelor Company in collections and on the family farm, raising chickens and beef cows, enjoyed gardening, cooking, going to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren. Sandy was an active supporter of The Silk Hope Ruritan Club especially the annual Old Fashion Farmers Day. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry R. Moon and her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years: Bob Bloxsom; two daughters: Angelia D. Moon and husband, Dan Bell of Raleigh, NC, Suzette Moon Spence and husband, Todd of El Passo, TX; one sister: Linda Crawley and husband, Calvin of Graham, NC; grandchildren, Danneale Bell, Victoria Bell, Daniel Bell and Logan Spence; sisters-in-law, Sandy Parham, Myrtle Phillips, Debbie Brown.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Sapling Ridge United Methodist Church, 5016 Silk Hope-Gum Spring Road, Pittsboro with Rev. Jason Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Moore's Chapel Cemetery, Saxaphaw.
