Sandra Anita Sharpe

Sandra Anita Sharpe, 67, of Siler City passed away May 13, 2023 at UNC- Chapel Hill.

Anita was born in Chatham County on June 3, 1955, daughter of John C. Sharpe and Lois Smith Branson. Ms. Sharpe was a 1973 graduate of Jordan Matthews High School.  Anita retired from security at 3M in Moncure. In her free time, Anita enjoyed traveling to the mountains and spending time outdoors. Anita was preceded in death by her father. 

Ms. Sharpe is survived by her mother Lois Smith Branson of Siler City; twin sister, Rita Sharpe Ellis of Asheboro; brothers, Steve Sharpe of Southern Pines and Johnny Ray Sharpe and wife Sylvia of Bear Creek. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Ms. Sharpe will lie in repose on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 1:00 until 5:00 pm at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Antioch Christian Church with Reverend Jimmy Talton officiating.
