Sabra Elkins Daurity

Sabra Elkins Daurity, 93, of Raleigh formerly of Goldston died Friday, May 10, 2013 at Rex Health Care, Raleigh. Mrs. Daurity was born September 2, 1919 the daughter of Colon and Flossie (Barber) Elkins. She was a member of Goldston Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was the very definition of a truly graceful lady filled with sweetness, kindness, caring and love for all, especially God, family and many, many friends. To know Sabra was to truly love her and she will be missed more than words can express. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Daurity and her parents. She is survived by one daughter: Diane Wallace of Raleigh, NC; two sons: Grant Daurity of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Jerome Daurity of Knightdale, NC; two sisters: Helen Simpson of Ashland, KY, Doris Mallard of Durham, NC; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. A graveside service will be held Monday, May 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Goldston Cemetery, Goldston, NC with Rev. David Hicks and Rev. Mitch Watson officiating.
