Ruth Lindley Johnson

Ruth Lindley Johnson of Lindley Mill Road, Snow Camp died Saturday, May 10, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Johnson was born in Chatham County on April 16, 1925, the daughter of Carl and Eula Lindley. She was a member of Center United Methodist Church.. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Johnson; her parents; sisters, Annie Lou Brown and Hilda Johnson. She is survived by son, Timothy Johnson; daughter, Diane J. Griffin and husband, Gary both of Raleigh; grandchildren, Ashley Griffin Rose and husband, Dave of Cary, Brad Griffin of Atlanta and Matthew Johnson of Wilmington; great-granddaughters, Lindley and Avery Rose; special nephews, Larry and Darrell Johnson of Snow Camp, Terry Brown of Pittsboro. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Mark Miller, his nurse Kelly, and the staff at Kernodle Clinic for their love and care of their Mother. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC 27344. The funeral will be Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Center United Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph Park officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
