Ruey Irene Brown McMahon

Ruey Irene Brown McMahon, 89, of Sanford, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 5th, 2024, at Sanford Health & Rehabilitation surrounded by family.

Ruey was born on July 2nd, 1935, in Holland, VT to the late Alonzo Brown & Mildred Butterfield Brown. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Michael McMahon; son, Michael Stone; and two brothers, Clyde, and Ira Brown.

Ruey loved talking to her family and friends, doing crossword puzzles, bird and squirrel watching. She loved selling Avon in Chatham County for 20 years. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Moltenbrey and her husband, Skip of Sanford; her son, Phillip Stone of Tampa, FL; her grandchildren, Kristen Thomas and her husband, John of Sanford, and Kevin Stone of Vermont; great grandchildren, Gabriel Stone, and Adeline Thomas; and her family friend, Cole Blake.

A graveside service will be held at Bear Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, August 10th, 2024, at 3 PM. Services will be officiated by Reverend Bob Wachs.
