Ruby Lee Jones Johnson

Ruby Jones Johnson, 85, of Siler City died Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Johnson was born in Johnston County on May 27, 1930 the daughter of Vassie and Bertie Adams Jones. She was a member of Rocky River Baptist Church, had work for A. J. Schneierson and retired from Collins and Aikman. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Johnson; six brothers and sisters and a great-grandson, Chase Fogle. She is survived by two daughters: Jean Loflin and husband, Norbert of Asheboro, NC, Paulette McLaurin and husband, Earl of Pittsboro, NC; one son: Billy Johnson and wife, Michelle of Bear Creek, NC; two sisters: Naomi Crook and husband, Billy of Kernersville, NC, Bonnie Fairchild of Greensboro, NC; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Chatham Memorial Park, 13260 Hwy 64 West, Siler City with Rev. Tim Qualls officiating.
