Ruby Mae Edwards

Ruby Kiser Edwards, 93, of Joe Brown Road, Bear Creek died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Edwards was born in Chatham County on March 4, 1921 the daughter of Arthur and Gracie (Phillips) Kiser. She was a 1939 graduate of Bonlee High School, a member of Oakley Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Golden Rule Sunday school class and the Women on Missions. She retired from A. J. Scheierson, enjoyed cooking, sewing, and quilting and was a sports enthusiast. Ruby loved to work in her flower garden but her greatest pleasure was caring for her grandchildren and spending time with family. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Edwards; her parents; sisters and brothers. She is survived by daughter: Margo Sizemore and husband, Jim; son: Dale Edwards all of Bear Creek, NC; grandchildren, Cliff Sizemore and wife, Megan of Bear Creek, NC, Kate S. Seningen and husband, Ryan of Charleston, SC, Tyler Edwards of Bear Creek, NC; great-grandchildren, Raelyn, Aidan and Carlyn Sizemore, Ella Gray and Chase Seningen. The family will receive friends Friday, October 31, 2014 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Oakley Baptist Church, 2300 Siler City-Glendon Road, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Friday, October 31, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Oakley Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Ellison officiating. Burial will folllow in the church cemetery.
