Roxie Williams Morris

Roxie Lucille (Williams) Morris, 89, of Goldston, NC died Wednesday, January 22, 2014. She was born on August 15, 1924 in Chatham County to the late Luther Jackson and Mannie Williams. She was preceded in death by parents and brothers, Mack, Marvin and Fred; sisters, Mattie and Margie. She was the devoted wife of 68 years to husband, Jesse J. Morris; a loving mother to Sue Morris-Jones (husband Bruce); loving grandmother to grandchildren, Juliette Murdock and Michael Vosseller; loving great-grandmother to great-grandchildren, Michala, John James, Jacqueline and Gabby. Additional survivors are a special family member, Michelle Hardesty, along with many loving nieces and nephews. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church for more than 65 years. A private service will be held at Smith & Buckner Funeral Chapel.
