Roger Vann Moody

Roger Vann Moody, 76, of Bear Creek died Friday, August 1, 2014 at Coventry House Of Siler City, Siler City. Mr. Moody was born March 19, 1938 the son of Charles Lewis and Argie (Gaines) Moody. Mr. Moody was a native of Chatham County. Roger was a retired Army SGM serving two tours of duty in the Vietnam war. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Moody. He is survived by son: Gary & Annabelle Moody of WA, brothers: Charles "Billy" & Peggy Moody of Siler City, Jerry & Ann Moody of Goldston, Jimmy & Lucille Moody of Bear Creek, Randy & Darla Moody of Bear Creek, Larry & Merlyn Moody of Siler City, Kenneth & Susie Moody of Siler City, many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday, August 4, 2014 from 7 to 9 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday August 5, 2014 at Sandy Branch Baptist Church, 715 Sandy Branch Church Road, Bear Creek with Rev. Marc Sanders officiating.
