Robert Earl Russell, Sr.

Robert Earl Russell, Sr. 74, of Siler City died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Russell was born in Richmond, Virginia on July 7, 1939, the son of the late John W. and Myrtle Keith Russell. Bob was a Navy veteran, who enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed listening to country music, going to Lake Gaston and attended Bethlehem Wesleyan Church. He was retired owner operator long distant truck driver. Bob was preceded in death by daughters, Terri Lynn and Cindy Russell. He is survived by his wife: Doris Andrews Russell, of the home; daughters: Elizabeth Jean Perrington and husband, Larry of Moorsebury, TN, Tina R. Hagwood and husband, Howard of Clayton, NC, Susan Sherman of Fredericksburg Va., Connie Wilkie and husband, Gary of Apex, NC, sons: Robbie Russell, Jr. of Pittsboro, NC and Randy Rock of Burbank CA; grandchildren Luke Popp, Heather Hagwood, Tyler Hagwood, Michael Linehouse, Caitlin Sherman, Tommy Sherman, Brendan Sherman, James Sherman, Kai Rock, Josh Wilkie, Ryan Wilkie and Jaceekay Bass. Visitation will be one hour prior the service at the church. The funeral service will be held Monday February 10, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Wesleyan Church, 9468 Snow Camp Road, Snow Camp with Rev. Roger Coburn and Jack Cheek officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
