Robert Palmer Knight

Robert "Bob" Knight, Jr., 67, of Sanford, died Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Richmond, Va. Mr. Knight was born November 26, 1946 the son of Robert Palmer Knight and Agnes Badders Knight. Mr. Knight was a native of Chatham County. Bob was owner of K & C Tree & Stump removal, was employed with Classic Galleries in High Point for 17 years, was president of the local 323 Selig Manufacture, was a member of the VFW, a member of Paralyzed Veteran of America, and was an advocate for the disabled. He served in Vietnam for two years. Bob was also a "Greeter" at Walmart in Siler City. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother. He is survived by wife: Jean Odom Knight, daughters: Angela K. Lowe and husband, Greg, Rebecca K. Shepard and husband, Scott and son: Robbie Neal Knight, grandchildren; Lindsey Lowe Straub and husband, Warren, Shelly Lowe Jinorio and husband, Jason, Abrey Shepard Ramirez and husband, Aaron, Kelby Scot Shepard and Brynna Rose Shepard, great -grandchild; Nayeli Makai Ramirez, and one brother. A visitation will be held Sunday, August 31, 2014 from 2 to 4 PM at the Emmaus Baptist Church, 2430 Silk Hope Gum Springs Road, Pittsboro, NC, 27312. The memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Memorial may be made to Emmaus Baptist Church, The Paralyzed Veterans of America or to Back In The Woods Again Club.
