Robert "Butch" Lea McDaniel

Robert Lea "Butch" McDaniel, 69, of Siler City died Friday, June 19, 2015 at Alamance Caswell Hospice Home Mr. McDaniel was born in Chatham County on October 12, 1945 the son of Homer and Becky S. McDaniel. "Butch" was a veteran of the US Navy. After service to his country, he began his working career at Shoffner's Building Supply, learning the business and working his way up to management. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was very knowledgeable of many types of guns and how they worked. Butch was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Linda Scott McDaniel. He is survived by sister: Pam Myrick of Haw River, NC; brother: Bruce McDaniel and wife, Becky of Siler City; several nieces and nephews; three step-children, Wendy Albright and husband, Richard, Jay Fields, Rodney Fields and wife, Amy. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 21, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Siler City with Rev. Clyde Denny officiating. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall following the service.
