Rickie Joe Hill

Rickie Joe Hill, 50, of Clyde Underwood Road, Siler City died Sunday, May 12, 2013. Mr. Hill was born in Petersburg, Virginia on August 8, 1962 the son of Homer Wesley and Mabel Jean (Shields) Hill. He was a member of Community Baptist Church and employed as a carpenter in commercial building construction. He enjoyed fishing, remote control racing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Rickie was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 29 years: Teresa Jean (Lunsford) Hill; two daughters: Angela Overacre and husband, Jonathan of Goldston, NC, Jewel Straughn and husband, Kraig of Pittsboro, NC; two sisters: Debbie Vick of Disputant, VA, Trina Broce of Hopewell, VA and one brother: Howard Wesley Hill of Hopewell, VA; grandchildren, Camrie and Alyssa Overacre, Jenna Straughn, Jonathan Overacre, Jr., Lola Mae Straughn and Cadain Overacre. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC 27344. The funeral will be Monday, May 20, 2013 at 130 PM at Community Baptist Church, 2575 Hamp Stone Road, Siler City with Rev. Mark Agan and Rev. Tad Marshall officiating.
