~Rev. Robert Hoyle Hough, 86, of Raleigh died Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Universal Health Care of Fuquay Varina.
Mr. Hough was born in Chatham County on August 10, 1931 the son of Willis Hoyle and Lillie (Burke) Hough. He was a member of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church Conference. Robert had served as a missionary in areas of Cuba and Mexico for several years and had worked as a mechanic in the aviation field.
Robert was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Hough White; his parents; sister, Ruth Hough; brothers, Melvin and Floyd Hough.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years: Marjorie (Townes) Hough; one daughter: Faith Nix of Oklahoma; two sons: Byron Hough and Robert Joel “Buddy” Hough both of Texas; one brother: Terry Hough and wife, Susan of Kernersville; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and two step-daughters, Teresa Parker and Lisa Elgin.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church, 17475 US 64 W, Siler City. The funeral will follow Thursday at 3:00 PM with Dr. Leroy Baker, Rev. Joe Arthur, and Rev. David Elgin officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Siler City.
