Rachel Brown Beane

Rachel Brown Beane, 82, of Greenhill Drive, Siler City died Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Siler City Center . Mrs. Beane was born in Chatham County on September 28, 1932 the daughter of Oscar Millard and Vera (Bray) Brown. Rachel attended The Siler City Chapel and worked for several years at Friendly Florist as a designer. She is survived by her husband of 62 years: Dwight W. Beane; daughter: Cynthia Beane of Charlotte, NC; son: Dwight W. Beane, Jr. of Raleigh, NC; and sister, Ruth Simmons of Sylvania, Ohio. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 1:30-2:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Wachs and Rev. Eric Thompson officiating.
