Peggy Hargrove Moody

Peggy Ann Hargrove Moody, 90, of Siler City, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 25^th, 2024, surrounded by her loving daughter-in-law.

She was born in Chatham County on September 16^th, 1933, to Barney Ross Hargrove and Lillie Blanche Buckner Hargrove. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Bill” Moody; one son, James Lee Moody; three brothers, Robert E. Hargrove, Simon Hargrove, and Ross Hargrove; two sisters, Frances “Polly” Phillips, and Nancy Wilkie; two half-sisters, Madge Braxton, Matilda Campbell, and Edith Hargrove.

Peggy worked as an office assistance at Chatham Trades and was a member of Plainfield Friends Church.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Cathy Moody.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 30^th, 2024, at Plainfield Friends Church at 2 PM. Visitation will be at the church an hour prior to service. Burial will follow in church cemetery. Services will be officiated by Pastor Wayne Lamb.

Smith & Buckner Funeral Home will be assisting the Moody family.
