Patty Ann Fields Seagroves

Patty Fields Seagroves, 74, of Bear Creek died Monday, March 12, 2018 at Sanford Health & Rehab. Patty was born in Chatham County on October 8, 1943 the daughter of James Herbert and Retta (Bright) Fields. Patty was a graduate of Chatham Central High School, attended Meroney United Methodist Church and Sanford Church of God. She retired from Trion in Sanford. Patty enjoyed working in flowers, visiting folks and giving to others and sending cards to everyone and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She often served as a caregiver to several in her neighborhood until her own health began to decline. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Clarence Fields.

She is survived by one sister: Brenda F. Shaw and husband, Tony of Bear Creek; three brothers: James "Rabbit" H. Fields, Jr and wife, Carol of Siler City, Colon Robert Fields and wife, Linda of Creston and David Wayne Fields and wife, Cathy of Bear Creek, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Meroney United Methodist Church, 10568 NC Hwy 902, Bear Creek. The funeral will follow Thursday at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jim Whittaker officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
