Patsy Gerringer Edwards

Patsy Ann Gerringer Edwards, 76, of 103 Silk Hope-Gum Springs Road, Pittsboro died Sunday, October 7, 2012 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill. Mrs. Edwards was born in Alamance County on July 17, 1936 the daughter of William Newton and Carrie Lee (Dean) Gerringer. She was a retired textile worker, a member of Souls Harbor Pentecostal Church of God. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Polly Rowe, Nancy Sue Teague and Gaynelle Tripp. She is survived by two daughters: Theresa Beal (Earl) of Siler City, NC, Donise Branson (David) of Pittsboro, NC; one sister: Irene Johnson of Burlington, NC; grandchildren, Dana Branson Restivo (Mike), Theresa Lynn Branson (Rick), Meridith Beal Butler (Brandon), Lauren Beal Morrison (John), Kara Beal (Josh); great-grandchildren, Isabella Johnson (Nick) and Madison Butler. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC and other times at the home of Theresa Beal, 405 S. Dogwood Ave., Siler City. The funeral will be Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel, with Darrin Locklear officiating.
