Patsy Ann Smith Howard

Patsy Smith Howard, 67, of Laurels Of Chatham, Pittsboro died Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Mrs. Howard was born in Chatham County on January 2, 1946 the daughter of Kerney A. and Edna (Smith) Smith, Sr. She had worked for The Flame Restaurant and the old Country Store. Patsy enjoyed cooking, gardening and spoiling her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Linda Burgess, Sarah Jones and Sally Oldham. She is survived by two daughters: Jennifer Oglesbee of Carthage, NC, Tammy Mabe of Siler City, NC; sister: Jane S.Shaw; brother, Kerney A. Smith, Jr. and six grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Oakwood Cemetery, N. Chatham Ave, Siler City with Rev. Bob Wachs officiating. No formal visitation is planned.
