Ottis Carl Price

Ottis Carl Price, 78, of Silk Hope Road, Siler City died Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Price was born in Columbus County on February 17, 1935 the son of Willie Lee and Martha (Ray) Price. He attended Mount Vernon United Methodist Church and was retired, after 31 years of service, as a salesman with Elanco Products, Inc a division of Eli Lilly. In retirement he enjoyed farming, gardening, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. Carl was a veteran of the Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sister and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Betty (Perry) Price; two sons: Kenneth Ray Price and wife, Pamela of DeFuniak Springs, FL, James Carl Price and wife, Lori of Greensboro, NC;one brother: Billy L. Price and wife, Ann of Roxboro, NC; grandchildren, Payton, Alexander, Jacob, Nicholas and Avan and many loving nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, 3631 Mt. Vernon-Hickory Mountain Road, Siler City with Rev. Jason Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church in the church fellowship hall.
