Nora Lee Brown Ellis, 93, of Bennett, went home to be with her Lord and savior on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024.
She was born in Chatham County on August 6th, 1930, to Diffie and Dorothy Brown. In addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her husband, George “Buck” Ellis (2011); son, William “Atlas” Ellis; brothers Tydes Ray Brown and Wilkes Brown; Sisters, Eva Brown, and Carolyn Brown Moore.
Nora Lee was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church. She taught Sunday school, was a member of the Ladies fellowship, and a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School class.
Grandma loved working on the farm, cooking for her family and seeing her family on a regular basis. She was also known as “The Tupperware Lady” for 20 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Naomi and husband, Robert Gee. Her grandsons, Wesley Coleman (Kristen), Travis Coleman, Rob Gee (Heather), Kyle Gee (Betty Ann), and Scott Gee. She is also survived by her great granddaughter, Maddy Belle Coleman, and great grandsons; Noah, Eli, Jaxon, and Asher Coleman; Dillon, Gage, and Levi Gee; nieces, Elizabeth Wilkie, and Amanda Moore; and her sister-in-law, Ann Brown.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 5th, 2023, at 2 PM, at Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiated by Pastor Rick Haug and Pastor Mark Richardson. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery in Bennett. Visitation will be from 1-2 PM, Friday, January 5th, 2023, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church.
