Noah Franklin "Frankie" Cockman, 67, of Piney Grove Church Road, Siler City died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Cockman was born in Chatham County on January 21, 1949 the son of Ventress and Marie (Brady) Cockman. He was self-employed as the owner-operator of Kaycee Trucking and a member of Oakley Baptist Church. Frankie was active in the community services and activities, having been a member of the Jaycees, Chatham Optimist Club, J M Boosters and coaching Siler City Little League. His pleasures in life were trips to Badin Lake, riding the pontoon, working in his shop, times spent with family, friends and his canine companions, Niko, Bahr and Maverick.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years: Kathy (Allred) Cockman; one daughter: Caitlin Cockman (Will) of Siler City; one son: Wes Cockman (Taylor) of Siler City; mother, Marie (Brady) Cockman of Ramseur; two brothers: Reggie Cockman of Pittsboro and Carlos Cockman of Siler City.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 9, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC , other times at the home. The funeral will be Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 314 N. 2nd Ave., Siler City with Rev. William Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Siler City.
