Nancy Jean Phillips

Nancy Proffitt Phillips, 76 of Staley, NC died Thursday, June 18, 2020 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill. Nancy was born on August 26, 1943 in Guilford County, the daughter of Marion Palmer and Maude Burns Proffitt. She was retired from Sears & Roebuck Company as an Administrative assistant and was owner/operator of Phillips All Seasons Reality. Mrs. Phillips enjoyed boating, going to the beach and working on her horse farm. Her pets were treated like her children. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sherrill Dean Phillips; brothers, Malcom "Mickey" Proffitt, M. P. Proffitt, Jr., Presley Carlton Proffitt and Thomas (Ray) Proffitt. She is survived by a sister, Rachel P. Ritch, Whitsett; nieces, Debbie Holliday, Whitsett, Sara Proffitt, Greensboro, Jan Shipton, Greensboro and Melody Proffitt of West Virginia; nephews, Todd Ritch, Siler City, and Phil Proffitt, Greensboro. No services are planned at this time.
