Nancy Dorritty Banks, 64, of 509 Pine Glade Avenue Siler City died Wednesday, October 29, at her residence.
Mrs. Banks was born in Randolph County on August 31, 1950 the daughter of Woodrow Buster and Strowdie (Poole) Dorritty. Nancy attended Pentecostal Victory Temple and New Day Ministries in Liberty. She had been employed with Hadley Peoples Manufacturing and enjoyed time spent with her family and her dog, Tiny. Nancy also enjoyed her church activities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Lee Banks, Sr.; her parents and a brother, Jim Dorritty.
She is survived by two daughters: Tammy B. Schultz and husband, Jeffrey, Wanda B. Brown and husband, Richard both of Siler City, NC; one son: Ronald Lee Banks, Jr. and wife, Kristin of Holly Ridge, NC; three sisters: Shirley Hayes of Siler City, NC, Linda Hodgin of Liberty, NC, Emma Green of Asheboro, NC; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC 27344 and other times at the home of the daughter, 718 N. Chatham Avenue, Siler City. The funeral will be Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Pentecostal Victory Temple, 18074 US 64 W, Siler City with Rev. Reggie Rakes and Rev. Michael Crigler officiating. Burial will follow in Richland Baptist Church Cemetery, Liberty.
