Mildred Brewer Freeman

Mildred Brewer Freeman, 86, of Vander Oldham Road, Bear Creek died Friday, February 12, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Freeman was born in Chatham County on July 6, 1929 the daughter of Kenny H. and Alma (Hicks) Brewer. She had been employed by Glendale Hosiery and was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 67 years: Willie C. Freeman of Bear Creek; five daughters: Janice Lambert and husband, Eddie of Bear Creek, Kathy Hefner of Bear Creek, Tina Gaines and husband, Steve of Goldston, Ann Ray and husband, Dale of Bear Creek, Betty Stephens of Wendell; two sisters: Mary Ann Hutchins of Coleridge, Doris Jordan of Bear Creek; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 1:30-3:00 PM at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 17721 NC Hwy 902, Bear Creek, NC. The funeral will be Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Garner and Rev. David Hicks officiating.
