Maxine Fogleman Pike, 91, of Siler City died Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Chatham Hospital,
Mrs. Pike was born in Alamance County on September 26, 1924 the daughter of Leland Walker and Emma (Andrews) Fogleman. She was a member of Rocky River Friends Meeting, the Fellowship Sunday School Class,a Sunday School teacher and a member of the USFW.
She enjoyed cooking, fishing and bird watching. Her greatest pleasure was her family.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Phryne Pike, her parents, sisters, Ursula F. Loy, Oleta Fogleman and brother, Glenn Fogleman.
She is survived by three daughters: Debby Pike, Melva Pike Allen and husband, Gary, Karen Pike,one son: Gerry Pike and wife, Lynn all of Siler City; grandchildren, Rebekkah Glass and husband Jason, Carla Pike, Joan Daniel and husband, Arthur, Jonathan Pike, Amy Leonard and husband, Jonathan and Andrew Allen; great grandchildren, Christian Pike, Holly Glass, Trinity Kimbler, Ethan and Jackson Leonard; great-great grandchildren, Maggie and Aubrey.
The funeral will be Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Rocky River Friends Meeting, 1795 Staley-Snow Camp Road, Siler City with Pastor David Hobson officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the commital service in the church Fellowship Hall.
