Mary "Polly" White Marley, 95, of Siler City, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Chatham Hospital.
Ms. Marley was born in Randolph County on July 10, 1927, the daughter of Rufus and Emma Paige White.
Polly was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church where she attended the Bessie Gilbert Sunday School Class, and went on many church trips. Polly always kept a beautiful garden and loved watching the birds outside of her window. She enjoyed sewing, and making quilts. In addition to her parents, Polly is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Franklin Marley; son, Wayne Marley; brothers, Bill, Pete and James White; and sister, Louise Gordon.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Marley (Betsy Walker) of Siler City, and David Marley and wife Debbie of Bear Creek; grandchildren, Dacia Brownie, and Amber Marley Kearns; and great grandchildren, Dustin, Bailey, Natalie, Alyssa, and Christina.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Brush Creek Baptist Church, 5345 Airport Rd., Bear Creek. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Timmy Strider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
