Mary Jean Stevens Beal, 81, Siler City died Monday, December 26, 2016 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur.
Mrs. Beal was born in Chatham County on February 6, 1935, the daughter of Charles R. and Thelma Hinshaw Stevens. Jean was employed by Chatham Hospital as a dietitian and was a member of Brookdale Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by brothers, Roland, Bruton, Charlie, sisters Ollie Mae and Doris Lee.
She is survived by her husband: Jack C. Beal, of the home, daughters: Donna Phillips Brewer and June Phillips Price, son: Burl Phillips, Jr. and wife, Kristy all of Siler City, step-daughter: Sharon Parrish and husband, Tony of Pittsboro; grandchildren: Karen Cox Phillips and husband, Gary, Torris Price, Jr, Dana Brewer Cain and husband, Wes, Marshall, Miller, Mason Phillips, step-granddaughter: Christie, great-grandchildren: Whitney Phillips, Torris Price, III, and Brendan Cain.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Rocky River Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 4436 Siler City-Snow Camp Road, Siler City, 27344. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the church fellowship hall with Rev. Greg Burriss and Rev. Rob Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Chatham Memorial Park, Siler City.
