Mary Etta Kime Staley

Mary Etta Kime Staley, 95, of Bear Creek died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Siler City Center.

Mrs. Staley was born in Randolph County on March 13, 1922 the daughter of Willie and Mamie (Moser) Kime. Mary Etta was a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church and retired from Hadley Peoples Manufacturing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Staley; son, John Robert Staley; daughter, Rachel S. Cook; son-in-law, Billy Cook; great-granddaughter, Bridget Ellis.

She is survived by two sons: James D. Staley and wife, Doris and Walter W. Staley and wife, Kristy both of Seagrove; daughter-in-law, Jane Dark Staley of Bear Creek; grandchildren, Robert Elliott Staley, Bonnie S Ellis, Billy Lewis Cook, Jr; David Cook, Virginia Langley, James Dewitt Staley, Jr; William Staley, Jamie Staley, and Jana Staley; great-grandchildren, Marsha, Samantha, Hunter, Reid, Summer, Caleb and Maggie; great-great granddaughters, Lilly and Lea.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Piney Grove United Methodist Church, 2343 Piney Grove Church Road, Siler City, NC and at other times at the home of the granddaughter, Bonnie Ellis, 340 Wildlife Road, BearCreek. The funeral will follow Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Piney Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Folks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
